Rexnord Industries, LLC announces new Duralon and Tuflite composite bearing website.

DURALON BEARINGS

Duralon® self-lubricated composite bearings offer maintenance free operation and maximum life in a wide variety of industrial applications. The bearings are constructed using a woven Teflon® fiber fabric liner and continuous strands of fiberglass and epoxy resin. Typical motions include pivot, oscillating, linear sliding and slow speed full rotation. Typical loads range from 4,000 to 30,000 psi.

Top ten reasons to use Duralon® bearings!

They...

  1. Provide extra long life under splash and submerged fresh or salt water
  2. Do not require lubrication
  3. Operate self-lubricated up to 30,000 psi dynamically
  4. Minimize galling and scoring
  5. Resist galvanic and fretting corrosion
  6. Minimize slip stick problems
  7. Are corrosion resistant
  8. Are lightweight - 77% less than steel and 30% less than aluminum
  9. Are electrically insulating and chemically resistant
  10. Eliminate contaminating lubricants and complex lubrication systems

TEFLON® brand fibers are manufactured by Toray Fluorofibers (America); TEFLON® is a registered trademark of the DuPont Company used under license by TFA.
