Rexnord Tuflite® Composite Bearings

Rexnord Bearings

Tuflite® self-lubricated composite bearings offer maintenance free operation and maximum life in a wide variety of aerospace and military applications. The bearings are manufactured under a quality management system structured to comply with the requirements of SAE AS9100. The bearings are constructed using woven Teflon® fiber and continuous strands of fiberglass and epoxy resin. Typical motions include pivot, oscillating, linear sliding and slow speed full rotation. Typical loads range from 4,000 to 30,000 psi.

Woven Teflon® fiber and polyester fiber liner supported by a filament wound continuous fiberglass fiber and epoxy resin matrix.

Typical dynamic loads: 4,000 to 30,000 psi
Ultimate Strength: 77,000 psi (for 1/8" wall section)

Catalog and made to order bearings available in imperial and metric dimensions.

Temperature
Continuous: Cryogenic to +325°F
Intermittent: +400°F, special resin system available to +450°F

Coefficient of Friction
Static & dynamic: .20 to .07

Configurations
Round, square, hex and custom shape bores

Size Range
1/8" to 26" inside diameter roundbores, consult with Rexnord for shaped bores.
